Lurale (the name of the village) vocational training school was established with the aim to give a second chance to the youth, especially the orphaned and poor that struggle to do well in a traditional school. Here, they are taught traditional subjects like math and English, but also learn practical trades, like farming, Motor vehicle mechanics, hair dressing, catering and fashion design. Most of the youth were orphaned at early age and couldn’t proceed with their education due to lack of school fees. Their lives have been of desperation and hopelessness, engaging themselves in dangerous activities to earn a living. Lurale has become a hope by giving them a second chance and opportunity to restore their lost hope. Lurale Vocational training school does not only give skills but they give them a new Christian foundation which changes their lives forever.
Lurale being a centre of change, we have given an opportunity to women and girls who have dropped out of school due to early pregnancies. It is unfortunate that poverty contributes to a number of things that destroy the lives of our girls. This has become a burden to our communities and Lurale has taken a step to restore the lives of these girls and give them skills to become self-reliant. This will give them an income to take care of their children and protect them. With $35 you will restore a lost hope and give them a future.
