The Soul Food Project
This program is based on Matthew 4:4 that says, “Man does not live by bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God.” We want to attend to physical needs, but spiritual needs, too. Over 300 Bibles have been given to Tumaini students and staff members, many parents and guardians of the children we work with, and those who fellowship at Hope Ministry, the church where the children and community members fellowships. The goal is to continue giving Bibles to students once they reach fourth grade, and disciple them through friendship, Bible study, and prayer. We have realized that most of the community members don’t have bibles of their own and they can only hear the word once they go to church. This is the reason why we have included the guardians and parents but again we have gone extra mile to giving bibles to the community members. It is satisfying visiting homes and giving bibles within the community we work in. Partner with us and give life to someone who really needs it. With $10 you will buy a bible for a family in the language they can read and understand.
Tumaini is an organization focusing on the disadvantaged in the community and heartbeat is to change our community for a better future. Tumaini Miles of Smiles activities revolve around caring for the orphaned and vulnerable children, provision of quality education and skills, community empowerment, free medical programs and nurturing talents among the youths.
Tumaini is a Swahili word for ‘HOPE’, Sponsor a child today and help break poverty cycle and bring hope to children, widows and families leaving a mark that will never be forgotten
This campaign targets spiritual needs in addition to physical needs. Over 300 Bibles have been given to Tumaini students, staff and guadians and the community around.
